Human capacity development

For optimum performance of any organisation the importance of human capacity development and its many long term impacts cannot be overemphasized. Human capacity development has been defined as “The process by which individuals, groups, organizations, institutions, and societies develop their abilities – both individually and collectively – to set and achieve objectives, perform functions, solve problems and to develop means and conditions required to enable this process”.

Individual and team capacity building

The human capacity development at SCDTL is especially designed to strengthen confidence, skills, knowledge of participants. Through this training programme individuals and teams can increase their capacity building efforts with cascading effect of confidence to envision and take action at organizational wide projects or processes management.

Improving staff capacity to excel within the broader set of performance standards

The staff capacity building at SCDTL is focused on the improvements in the ability of all employees to perform appropriate tasks within the broader set of performance standards of the organization. These include Individual Capacity Building, Organizational Capacity Building, as well as Systemic Capacity Building. We believe an individual who has been empowered to facilitate change can impact their organization and their community, and they can further work to effect systemic change.
