Rehabilitation and reintegration

One of the key concerns of the criminal justice system is reintegration of ex-offenders into the community. High rate of recidivism is an indication that the prisons have not prepared prisoners for life after prison.
SCDTL rehabilitation and reintegration programmed is designed to reduce recidivism by providing correctional measures to reduce re-offending and giving offenders’ opportunity to reintegrate into the society. We provide the full scope of case management, rehabilitation, training and education, offender employment and reintegration programme. By providing these opportunities offenders can acquire the skills and support to lead law-abiding lives after the end of their sentences and orders.

A better chance to successfully reintegrate into the community

Through training, counselling, and train-the-trainer programmes, we identify behaviours that lead to offending, and provide appropriate programmes and pathways, as well as motivation to take enable offenders to take part in them. This gives them better chance to successfully reintegrate into the community at the end of their sentence or order.
